unicorns + seahorses + mermen + poor swimming capabilities = Guppicorns

added types of Guppicorns~!

and on a side note-- got to create a group! Guppicorns
nothing added much there, was given a good tip to make a lil group just to keep track
on those who have them ; v ;b

BASIC INFORMATION

Background :new:

Guppicorns are a fusion of a unicorn, merman, and a seahorse.

God initially created unicorns purely as a gift for mankind, hoping that their gentle
and kind nature can heal their hearts and wounds from whatever troubles they've stumbled upon.
However.. they were often captured for either experimental purposes or just pure entertainment
due to their captivating appearance and oddly strange healing abilities. After witnessing the many wrong doings committed by the humans,
God gave the unicorns gills and fins, stripping them from their legs in order for them swim with their seahorse like tails..
so that they may hide within the depths of the sea where no man can harm them
and let mankind suffer from their selfishness, rendering them to be easily weakened by any sickness/diseases.
And when they hearts grow grey, they are far from being recovered and cured, making them insane and eventually die by their own folly.

And so the Guppicorns have been residing at the depths of the sea until this very day,

It has been centuries since they were spotted by mankind.

Although in rare instances, some Guppies were driven by curiosity and reached the surface of the water
and have raised a small number of awareness from the humans that mermaids still exist.

And some Guppicorns help assist humans lost out at sea back to shore safely, they even help other aquatic animals!

Types of Guppicorns

there are both Pure and Corrupted Guppicorns

PURE Guppicorns tend to reside anywhere that consists of eel seaweeds, coral reefs, and etc so long as they
have something to hold onto to. They often show kindness towards all beings and are against hostility
(unless when it comes to protecting their mate and fending for themselves if needed)

Most pure guppies remained unscathed from the past by mankind's harshness and mistreating actions,
they were considered the lucky ones who still believe that there is some goodness in mankind.

They often assist any living creature on sea, both applies to aquatic animals and Humans!

CORRUPT Guppicorns tend to
reside at the darkest parts of the ocean..
due to their past captivity/abuse while they were unicorns,
they no longer are pure and innocent,
which can alter their appearance drastically or just slightly!
They are corrupted and often use their magic to cause mischief...
At times they are responsible for dragging people out at sea into the waters and drowning
them if they are caught! They induce mild hallucination and cause ship wrecks!

Diet

they are omnivores
They primarily feast on crustaceans, mostly shrimp and plankton.. and on other occasions sea weed.
Food passes through their digestive systems so quickly, they must eat almost constantly to stay alive.

Abilities (tba)

Anatomy

Hair
Their hair/mane grows down their backs until the hip (pretty much the same as a horse)
Most of them have long hair

Skin
Parts of their skin are rough and bony other than their torso.
Some of them have the ability to change their color in response to blending in their environment.
They do NOT have scales.

Fins (Axillar, Dorsal, and Temporal)
Most are poor swimmers. They rely on their dorsal fin beating at 30-70 times per second to propel it along.
The Temporal fins at either side of the head and underarm help with stability and steering.
Whereas the Dorsal fins aid on movement.

Horns & Cheek spines
Parts of their bodies are bony (located at the side of their head and forehead) which can be
used for defense, hunting and for attracting their mates.

Tail
Despite their poor swimming capabilities, their tails are strong enough to give them
a good thrust when near the ground for a quick getaway from nearby predators,
hence why most Guppicorns reside at the bottom of the ocean.
Their tails also serve as a good leash whenever the waters get rough,
it helps keep them anchored in place! Also it's awfully handy (more like taily) when it comes to
guiding their mates to whichever direction so they won't drift away.

Mating

Guppicorns may choose their mate to be either the same or opposite sex.
Also, they are monogamous (is a form of relationship in which an individual has only one partner during their lifetime)

Guppicorns court their other mates through a number of things which include
dancing around one another, rubbing of the horns, small actions that hold signs of affection basically.
They can be awfully slow creatures when realizing that they are being courted,
which explains why the courting process takes so long.

Once they have overcome courtship and are fond of each other, they are considered to be mates,
they will often coil the ends of their tails together to confirm it.
They also prefer to swim around holding their tails with their mates as they wish.

Upon mating season, Females transfer their eggs to the Males, who are then in charge of fertilizing the eggs.
Male Guppicorns are considered more gentle and well nurturing towards the baby Guppicorns.
And the babies tend to flock more to their Father.

fun fact: Guppicorns are known romantics of the sea
